One of Cheryl-Annette's friends, Amy Perkins, custom made the
clothing for the bride and the bridesmaids. Her handmade creations include the bridal gown,
veil and earcuffs worn by Cheryl-Annette as well as the dresses, necklaces, and earrings/earcuffs
worn by each of the bridesmaids.
Brandon wrote original pieces for the bridal entrance, the scripture readings, and the
recessional. He also arranged pieces for the processional and the lighting of the
unity candle. Music was performed live by the bride's sister on trumpet, and friends on
strings, voice, and piano. We hope to post music clips here in the future.
At one point in the ceremony, we had our parents join us for prayer, sharing of the Lord's Supper,
and the lighting of the unity candles. Our parents' unity candles were at the table, and our dads
lit these when they joined us. From these our moms lit the tapers. We then served our parents the
Lord's Supper, and Cheryl-Annette's dad then led us in prayer. After the prayer, we used the tapers
to light our own unity candle. Our candle set was one that we had the opportunity to watch
being made by hand at Scarborough Faire.
Brandon and Cheryl-Annette looked long and hard for the perfect engagement
ring. They ended up putting together an engagement ring/wedding ring set and
choosing the diamonds for the settings, and watched the stones get set into
the rings.
